In the topic about draughtsmen, they started talking about mother-of-pearl recently. It's a pity that I may have a couple of rare ones (and there are no boreal relics), although in general there are more species... All but Pandora - south of the Ozuyevsky district.
1.Argynnis (Mesoacidalia) aglaja
picture: ___________________2.jpg
2. Brenthisdaphne was surprised to learn that this species is very rare in MO. Every summer it often comes across on the Antsiferovo-Podosinki stage! But I've never seen Eno in my life.

4. Issoria (Issoria) lathonia In my opinion one of the most beautiful mother-of-pearl. And I met her more often than anyone else...

Sorry for my ignoranceshuffle.gif, can you tell what kind of mother-of-pearl it is? 03.07.2001, Yaroslavl region, Uglich district, YarSU biostation, sphagnum swamp.

Can I see your underwear?

Can I see your underwear?

Unfortunately, only on weekends: I work almost on a "shift" basis, and the collection is in another city. On Friday or Sunday I will try to post smile.gif.

23.12.2007 16:22, Victor Titov

I lay out the underside of the mother-of-pearl, which I asked to determine on 11.12.2007 (there is a top). Who is it?

Clossiana selene like...

23.12.2007 16:35, Vlad Proklov

Clossiana selene sort of...

I think it's euphrosyne: there's only one silver spot on the medial sling.

I agree, this is euphrosyne. At first I thought all the spots were silver...

Thanks! I'm not a connoisseur, so without fear I ask, perhaps, a stupid question: and rather large, in my opinion, black spots on the red top-this is always the case with euphrosyne, or is it variability?

03.01.2008 23:26, Paulo

Hello, lovers of flying flowers! In my small collection,I have Argynnis latonia, caught back in ' 99.But a very interesting color variation(almost black on top and no less interesting underside).I took it to the BSU Pet Museum, showed it to Pisanenko A.D. _that said to write this on the label: A. latonia m. niger. Now, unfortunately, there is no way to show the photo, but one of these days I promise to try it out and share this rare beauty. If anyone is interested, let me know.

04.01.2008 1:05, Pavel Morozov

We are looking forward to the photos.

04.01.2008 15:19, RippeR

very interesting!

04.01.2008 15:42, Ilia Ustiantcev

Such a copy is available on the disk " diaries of Eastern Europe." Vaguely similar in color to the result of crossing the snout and latonia.

10.01.2008 1:57, guest: Paulo

As promised, I put a photo of Argynnis latonia. Waiting for your feedback.
