Unfortunately, there is no Oeneis jutta in this place. In fact, the swamp in the vicinity of the village of Polki is quite small in area (it only seems large in the photo). Oeneis jutta requires more extensive biotopes.

Finding Oeneis jutta in the Ivanovo region would, of course, be very cool. I already have some promising places in mind. I'm going to check them out next season.

Proclossiana eunomia (Esper, 1800)in our swamps, about 50 percent has similar similar dark bandages on the top of the wing.

But I have never come across Proclossiana eunomia with dark bandages on the upper wings, although I caught this species quite a lot in the seasons before and last. But in the vicinity of the village of Klochkovo, I quite often caught specimens of Clossiana euphrosyne with such dark bandages on the upper wings. Interestingly, such specimens I came across only in the vicinity of the village of Klochkovo, efrosiny collected in all other places where I ever caught them, had a completely normal, characteristic color for this species. Apparently, this is a genetic feature of the population.

Female and male - Ukraine, South Coast.
On the coast, the view in 2011 was very abundant. In a large flower bed with marigolds, more than 50 individuals could be observed at the same time. A magical sight!
The collection technology also deserves special mention. The collection was carried out by hand: you slowly approach the butterfly, wait until it gets used to your presence and smoothly bring your fingers to the back of the body. Females were more timid than males, and in principle, this method could be collected from as many as you like.
