Dear forumlyane! tell me how to distinguish Andala guttata (Erschoff, 1874) and Andala transversa (Moore, 1879) by their external features. I caught something similar on the southern slopes of the Hissar range at an altitude of 1800 m. Can these species fly together?

by area, Andala guttata is more suitable, the photo is very small. I can't see anything.

Sasibo is big, I saw these photos on the site http://szmn.sbras.ru/old/Lepidop/Lepidopt.htm. but from these photos, we can only assume that in Andala transversa, the veins on the forewing in the area of spots are not colored in the background color of the spot. It is difficult to judge how reliable eot prishchnak is.
I promise to post photos of my series after I take them off the straighteners. Thank You

I compare these types by images, and now by the appearance that is depicted on this resource: http://www-sbras.nsc.ru/win/elbib/atlas/Arctiidae/330.html
as if there is no doubt that this is Andala guttata.
But of course the last word should be reserved for V. V. Dubatolov

it would be interesting to know his opinion. I have something else for him there, and for you, too. I'll post it on the forum in a few days.
Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken, this is Palearctia gratiosa, which was discussed earlier on page 5. Confusingly, the background color of the rear fenders is neither yellow nor red. It is distinctly red, and in the female it is more intense. Unfortunately, my photographic skills do not allow me to get the correct color reproduction Collected in the Fan mountains, Alaudinsky gorge approximately 2900 m. July

Hello everyone!
Tell me what kind of lichen? It seems to be banal, but neither on the forum, nor in Lithosiinae of Russia, I did not find it. Butterflies were caught in the suburbs of Vladivostok, one on July 23, the other on July 30 this year.

Vadim Viktorovich, the fact is that I previously looked at it on this site, but something doesn't look very similar.I have now compared it with two specimens caught in the village of Barabash, yes, this is Miltochrista miniata. So I apologize and thank you to vafdog.

Barsine aberrans (Butler, 1877). Previously, it seems to have belonged to the genus Miltochrista.

Monosyntaxis sp. - female M. affinis Rothschild, 1912; described from the Malacca Peninsula. The male is a completely different color; very similar to the male of M. holmanhunti.

Argina argus has long been separated into a good (!) independent genus Mangina, together with other former Argina from Southeast Asia. This was confirmed by DNA. The genus Argina is monotypic. Mangina argus is given for the Malacca peninsula by at least Bucek [Bucsek, 2012]...

After a month of problems, the site szmn.eco.nsc.ru together with the resources posted on it (including the site on Russian lichens), it is working again. The reason is trivial - the UPS on the servers burned down due to a power surge. And purchases through institutions now take an extremely long time due to mandatory tenders for delivery.
