Do you have admirals?! It is interesting then, but can they be in the south of the Krasnoyarsk Territory?

They have a lot of things, but I'm afraid that this is a burdock and not an admiral smile.gif

Have you ever looked in the bottles? None of the six-legged ones came in for leftovers from the master's table?

Sorry, I got carried away smile.gif
I only caught this butterfly once in my distant childhood in the Crimea, I know that they are not found in Siberia, but then conversations flashed about the admiral, so I dreamed smile.gif

Yesterday in Simferopol there was a strong wind. Some trees were felled. This morning it was quiet and the sun was shining.Taking advantage of a break at work, I and my youngest daughter got out on the edge of the city.In the rush, the butterfly fishing accessories and WATER were forgotten.Only the net is taken.Of course, not the one that the child has in his handssmile.gif, but I haven't forgotten the stain for beetles yet.Yes, a few apples instead of water. In general, almost all the trophies in the photo.Good black-bodied chicks were caught(photo345).Two types of dorcash.A young tree was saved from the invasion of weevils (photo372).Judging by the remains of the potokia (photo 358), they have already flown.A little mood spoiled the presence of garbage (photo240).This has become an integral part of both our lives and recent reports.By lunchtime we were home.

Good day!
The season of endromis fishing is in full swing in the Kiev region!
17.04.2012 Musson max and I decided to go fishing in the Makarovsky district, near the village of Gavronshchyna.
The weather was very good, it rained during the whole fishing season, and the temperature was from 13 to 9 degrees Celsius.
Result:
14 males and 11 females of endromis (there were even more males, but we did not take them out of humanity to nature smile.gif)
Lycia hirtaria-in bulk
Biston strataria - 4 males
Panolis flammea and Orthosia incerta in mass
Orthosia gothica
Achlya flavicornis - 2 males
Colocasia coryli-one
Conistra rubiginea - 3 copies.
Conistra erythrocephala - 1 specimen
of 1 Melolontha hippocastani and 2 Anoplotrupes stercorosus
Thanks for your attention cool.gif

I would like to add an observation: females of endromis flew from 20: 00 (the beginning of fishing) to 21: 00-then, as the males cut off and flew en masse. I will add two more males of the moth Selenia dentaria from my catch.
I was really surprised by the plentiful summer of butterflies because sometimes, during fishing, it rained quite heavily, and they flew and flew.
One more observation, maybe someone will need: last time we caught on the same two-sided design: one side of the DRL 250, the second side of the DRL 125. So, DRL 250 in the last fishing used OSRAM firms and DRL 125-Philips, for some reason there were more butterflies from the DRL 125 side. This time, two Philips bulbs - everything fell into place - from the 250 DRL side, there are a little more butterflies. It turns out that who made the DRL also matters smile.gif

To the question of Endromis versicolor near Minsk-it should already be clear. 15 minutes ago I caught a fresh male of this species under the porch lamp. I'm about 150 kilometers north of Minsk.

I have just arrived from a trip to the vicinity of the Alescha station, 45 km north of Polotsk, where I went to catch the light and see new places. Yesterday, when I first arrived there, I was caught in a downpour on the platform, which started just a couple of minutes before the train arrived. The rain continued intermittently from 15.30 to 18.30. The backpack with the generator severely limited my mobility, and I initially wanted to get to a large sandy wasteland of unknown origin in the middle of the forest. It is clearly visible via satellite in google. maps and on maps. In the end, I went out to her. After setting up the tent and finding a water source, I took a walk across the moor to take a closer look at what grows on it, and what you can even hope to catch here. The military clearly had a hand in its origin in the middle of the forest - half-scattered fragments of camouflage nets, rusted zinc cartridges, spent shell casings and shanks from mortar mines are everywhere. Not so far away is a huge abandoned Dretunsii landfill, so it is not difficult to explain my findings. Around 19 hours the sun came out, immediately strong evaporation began from the ground, it was visible as in one place a plume of vapors rose up, promising new rain.
At 20.30, a small cloud came up again and a light rain fell for about 20 minutes. At 21.00 I turned on the light, the air temperature was +10. The first Panolis flammea arrived in 15-20 minutes. The rest of the year was not very active, fog periodically crept in. In total, about a dozen males of Endromis versicolor and not a single female arrived before 24.00. Of the scoops, the most interesting find was Orthosia opima, which flew here in large numbers. I went to bed around midnight. The temperature by this time dropped to +7. This morning was met with heavy fog and gloomy clouds. From the train window at the entrance of this station, I watched the mass flowering of dream grass on the warmed edges of the pine forest. But at the night fishing site, I found only a few buds barely breaking out of the ground in the forest.

And whose job is it? Previously, I always thought that such droppings were left by chicken birds, but recently I began to meet them in the woods in such quantities that I doubted the ability of, for example, a black grouse to produce so much good at once.

It is a strange phenomenon to strangle ten identical insects... What for?

Such butterflies are rare here, I once saw them, so I followed her for a couple of km until she decided to sit down. What is it called?

It's called "build a series".
The butterfly is called" Swallowtail " PAPILIO MACHAON Linnaeus, 1758
In the Moscow region it is full of recent years.

By the way, about summer smile.gif
Here, everyone was waiting for him, everyone was waiting for warmth.. and here it is redface.gif
Today naevrnoe was up to +30C, in general, so vzharilo that everything was already cracking, and I really wanted to drink smile.gifThat's right, and then it will be even hotter!!! In the next few days it can be up to +35C. Oh, with this April heat would throw off 10 degrees, and to last winter frosts would add )))

It should also be noted that they fly all over the yolks, but I couldn't catch them, there was no net smile.gif

PS
About beetles, well, I was joking, but everyone immediately took it so close to heart.. I also wanted to "starve" some tsitsindella with something, it's too hot for Sonya, but she doesn't want to stick in and that's all for you. But I thought, because she's alive, the sun also likes smile.gifto take a picture of another, and delov that )
And this butterfly is a swallowtail, in principle it seems to be ordinary, but it is difficult to take pictures, too, proud, does not want to take pictures smile.gif

Roman,do you still have a lot of steppe vipers? We have something rare steel.
I had a lot at my dacha about 15 years ago.In the spring, it was necessary to
walk very carefully because of the large density of snakes. They're almost gone now.I wonder if the cats could
have killed them.

26.04.2012 21:15, Hierophis

In stations with suitable conditions, the steppe viper is still numerous here.

But we also started recently, and in principle ended, some kind of mass extinction of this viper in various places. The same situation - about 10 years ago, they say, there was nowhere to step, there were plenty of vipers, now-absolutely not found " There are actually a lot of versions in this regard, according to one of the versions put forward by a professional herpetologist-the vipers disappeared and continue to disappear due to the aridization of the climate, that is, due to the increase in the duration of the dry season period, drying up of springs. The fact is that the common viper, it is generally a swamp and likes coolness, the steppe is more heat-resistant, but nevertheless those maxima in the number of vipers that I observe are always confined to places with non-drying reservoirs. But we just had one station where the reservoirs began to dry up regularly, the vipers left, although the runners and copperheads remained.

But maybe you have some observations that the water bodies did not dry up and the vipers disappeared?

Stray cats and dogs, by the way, also harm the fauna mercilessly, but here all the same naevrnoe is only an additional factor...

26.04.2012 21:24, Геннадий Шембергер

The springs were drying up.In some places, I think this is also why the Caucasian ground beetle disappeared.

26.04.2012 21:36, Hierophis

By the way, we also had strange disappearances, for example, such a "pair" as an unpaired silkworm and a beautiful odorous one disappeared.

Among us, there was a version that it was as a result of the etching of plantings there from this very silkworm.
But that's bullshit.
Because we do have silkworms. But it flickers, so to speak, like a smoldering splinter - it goes out, then goes out. But it is there! And there is also a beauty shop! But VERY LITTLE. And all this happened about the same time as the vipers, Oh! at the same time, the hawthorn tree somehow disappeared, so that all I have left are memories from my early school days about it, about the masses of beautiful torches chasing all the streets, and just a bunch of untidy silkworms..

And somewhere further away from the houses at that time, steppe vipers were crawling and flourishing in our country, but I didn't know about it then smile.gif
