I gave up the idea of finding Saturnia spini, it's too ephemeral, but Hebe doesn't give me any peace of mind, at least one specimen was found somewhere in the south of the region about 10 years ago. I understand that there are no further prospects, I turn down, the next day the temperature fell below 10 degrees.
Attempt number two - on May 15, after sitting out the cold snap, I look out for an almost perfect night according to the forecast-warm, windless, clouds, light rain is possible. Again I go to the same place, the feeling of dissatisfaction from the last time did not leave me. The beginning of summer is not as stormy as last time, although the forecast was fully justified and there is even a slight drizzle. Again, one male tremulifolia, proserpina, euphorbiae begin to fly from 10 o'clock, later they are diluted with galii, a torn male Saturnia puri, closer to midnight argentina flew, at the end-then males, from bears so far only isolated lubricipeda and fuliginosa. If there is a strong wind, it is not necessary to stop fishing, you can remove the screen and put it on the ground.
Is there a complete certainty that this is Dyscia conspersaria? A, not Dyscia innocentaria, e.g.

innocentaria is already flying in the Crimea in May (Savchuk's website), conspersaria has so far been recorded only in the mountains of the Crimea(I. Kostyuk's inf.), and Yu caught the first one last year in those parts.Geryak, so it's very likely that Djon is right-you have the first one.

You probably noticed that they are on the grid. It is literally a couple of meters from the house, just on the aisle. I stopped by to visit my father - and here this is happening... Of course, he is no longer young, the garden is overgrown beyond recognition, he does not have time to follow everything - weeds, bushes, it will soon be almost like in the forest, so they divorced... My father also said that he had green and black snakes of some kind, maybe it was just the color variability. In general, I read that they can be aggressive and can rush and bite, although they are not poisonous. At the moment (as in the photos), they did not pay any attention to the people hanging out near them, no reaction, just carelessly went about their business. I'm already afraid to walk in the garden...
