I have these carnations... With an intimidating hat, the carnation itself is like a plastic stationery button.
On such spires PinUps in the barracks above the beds))))

Are there lures on the nails?
This is barbaric.

Not on nails, but on stationery buttons. As for me, there is no harm from the button and it is quite easy to remove them. And if on nails, then also take ticks then to the forest for pulling out those very nails wink.gif

Many oaks in the PTZ near the sign "Thin ice" are studded with nails, they are convenient to attach a variety of baits

22.06.2012 14:59, Penzyak

now on sale just a bunch of different types of pins and buttons... nails are basically not needed! We have a much simpler way to collect ribbon flowers - the method is called "hanging pears". Take a stick in your left hand and a net in your right... well, actually went to hang around the bandwagoners....

what kind of "wine" was used to attract insects?? Something special wine stains are not visible on cotton wool / gauze...???

I used to catch them in the same way, but a lot of things escaped. It's easier and more convenient for me to make money. The wine is the most ordinary homemade, although slightly diluted + more sugar

Today I picked up a small (?)a poplar glass case and let it go near the river, where there are no poplars, but there are Elms, Willows, and Alders. The upper wings were like a pigeon's, a brilliant purple. Is this poplar?

Here's just a photo sketch!
Crimea, Feodosia and Koktebel.
From 26.05.2012 to 08.06.2012.
This year is the most catchy in the last 6 years by percentage!
From May 26 to June 2 it was changeable with rain, and from May 3 to 8 it was almost
only clear.
On June 4, I made a trip to Semiiz, where the abundance of meetings with pro-Russians was simply
stunning ( and who just said that they are rare ?).

Who's that?" You mean the weevil? How do I know what kind of grass he eats if I have no idea who he is? Mowed it down, rented it at home...
In general, it was on the sand and in detritus that I saw them.

Indeed, when everything is mostly obtained by mowing, then try to figure out what it was sitting on. Yes, and they often take off from the grass, but from the sand they are more problematic and do not run so fast. If possible, of course, I shoot on the spot, but this time, sometimes it takes up to half an hour, and the chance of losing someone rare... Therefore, I usually shoot the bulk of them at home.

Dear forumchane, please tell us, in the Crimea, in addition to tservusov and platutserusov, there are other horns?

Of course, there is! In the Crimea, Lucanidae include Lucanus cervus, Dorcus parallelipipedus, Sinodendron cylindricum, Aesalus scarabaeoides, Aesalus ulanowsky, and Platycerus caraboides. Platycerus caprea may also be found in the mountains.

I agree that August is not the season, but still I came across small ones, and in our south - and normal ones ran (although not in huge numbers), well, there were plenty of remains.

08.07.2012 Kiev region. Makarovsky district, near the village of Komarovka-an old clearing. There was one. Caught up to 2 o'clock in the morning. I had a great trip, the weather is lovely, soaring before the rain. There are a lot of moths, but mostly garbage, and I took a little-mostly crested ones. I was particularly pleased with Drymonia obliterata. This infection in the Makarovsky district of the Kiev region. previously, I did not meet. So we can say that because of her and went. Before that, I had a pair from the Dniester Canyon. Ptilodon cucullina, Cerura and furcula also flew in the assortment . I secretly dreamed of Peridea anceps - in the 90s they were 100% there-and I caught them, but now, alas! A lot of cocoonworms (oak-leaved, plum and grass) and hawk moth flew. Mostly a gentleman's set. The shovel wasn't enough. There are plenty of mosquitoes.

Kozhushna
Shot crown traps on 10.07.12. The average temperature for 1.5 months in Moldova was around 33. Crown species composition: P. metallica., P. aeruginosa., P. fieberi, L. lugubris, and of course C. aurata and L. cervus (males only). So far, all the fees are drying on mattresses, some of them are still in the freezer. There are fewer barbels of P. detritus, C. scopoli, and P. kaehleri compared to 2009. This is most likely due to the fact that the cuttings were overgrown, the sawn dead wood in which the larvae developed was naturally removed long ago, but there is dead wood on the periphery of the cuttings, so there were also kelleri this month. From interesting barbels this year went about 6 copies. Trichoferus pallidus, Isotomus speciosus. Dominated in the crown X. antilope. So from memory of the main barbels listed.

Probably, we are talking about the average value of the maximum daytime temperature. smile.gif

10.07.2012 23:31, Hierophis

I wasn't surprised about the temperature smile.gif
Although yes, +33C is too much for the average monthly temperature, even for the highest situation. This year, the Heat Forces seem to have decided to take well, a very convincing and, I hope, long-lasting revenge on the situation last February, and now the temperature anomaly has been kept from +3 to +5C since the beginning of the month!!! Keep it up!!!
Well, great, we have now at midnight +28C on the street, so, it's better +28C at midnight than -10! Steam bones do not ache )))))

And in the south of the Nikolaev area the strongest drought. There have been no significant rains since the beginning of June, sometimes it rained, but very briefly.
At the same time, the whole summer is very hot, not so much, the temperature does not pass the mark of +39C, keeps in the area of +36 +38 Tmax, but in a day it may increase to +40.
As a result, there are almost no straight-winged birds, I'm not talking about grasshoppers, which do not exist at all, locusts are barely caught.
At the beginning of the summer there was a lot of dybok, now I have not found any. Yes that there dybok-verrucivorusy became extinct absolutely-for all campaign heard one trill, and that in the area of dachas. In the steppe, a dead picture, absolutely dry grasses, spots of fires, and rare rare fillies.
Yes, it's a miracle to find an open anthill, even ants sit in their underground mansions, probably active in the early morning and evening.
There are very few butterflies, dragonflies, all insects in general, even mosquitoes.
Even the ubiquitous argyope spiders died out en masse, apparently left without food and moisture.
All bochagi and other small non-drying usually reservoirs have dried up. Similarly, all the upper springs have dried up or almost dried up.
The leaves on the trees twirled and began to fall.
The Ingul River, which is filled mainly on the territory of our region, is incredibly shallow! I have never seen such a water withdrawal before, sometimes with particularly strong recessions, the coast was exposed where the depth reached up to a meter. They say that just upstream the river is completely overgrown with aquatic plants.
And the rain is not visible yet...

This is what it looks like

There are two or three species of Otsypus: those with a bronze luster from O. macrocephalus/ormayi, and the black ones are probably of the O. tenebricosus/biharicus type. Pull on the genitals and the thoughts will appear smile.gif

I haven't been able to go much this season, but on Monday, August 20
, my eighth sense whispered to me: "That's enough, it's time to go, great discoveries are waiting for you...
I arrived at the fishing point in the dark. The road started to disappear and I stopped.
I got out of the car to look around with a flashlight. Life raged in the beam of light...
A silver-and-white butterfly flickered among the larger numbers of armigers feeding on Kermek flowers
. A wave of the hand and the butterfly is pinned to the ground. These moments were enough to dispel doubts,
this is it-Cucullia magnifica jump.gif jump.gif jump.gif
After ten minutes, I was shining, everything that shines, but only at 22-30, bypassing the circle of light, the second magnifier was found.
The third found magnifica caused a good hysterical laugh. Then the adrenaline rush began to fade.
You can also note the good growth of Cucullia virgaureae, which does not exist in Ukraine, and fresh
Eogena contaminei, which is in the same generation, and I have an ex. dated May 16.
A couple of days later, the "gang with lanterns" (lask.smile.gif) came fishing. Everyone got an unforgettable experience.
Several days of fishing in Melitopol district of Zaporizhia region were recognized by participants as the best in the 2012 season.

Good evening
to all, I will also try to report, although I understand that without visual campaigning it is not the same. But it seems that there is some crisis of the genre in this topic, I will support traffic on my own.
I was at a lake near the city today. (the eight, Reaper mentioned it once here.) Against expectations, quite successfully. I won't tell you about all the trophies, only about three

The main thing is that a couple of staphylins were caught, as it seemed at first - unusually green. Under one stone. And I was very happy, because I was already tired of all the sizes and absolutely identical tasgiuses, which have a sign on their foreheads that they are genital. Green staphylinchiki were from the genus Philonthus, I suspect that laminatus. Everything fits incredibly, the only thing I haven't figured out yet is what size they should be. Mine are 10 and 11 mm. This is before shrinkage. Very beautiful.

But most importantly, Notiophilus was found in the drainage ditch - the first in my life. 5 mm exactly, dark bronze, and as expected terribly bug-eyed.I'm not trying to identify it yet, and I don't even have binoculars, just an easel magnifier.

But the most important thing is Demetrias imperialis. I didn't expect to find a ground beetle in such a place - a piece of cloth, like a handkerchief, completely submerged in the lake water. Moreover, this one is well soaked in fermented tino-hydroslue mud. Sat in the folds and pulled quite briskly. as soon as I unwrapped this rag. A cute beetle, just like in the picture, only the pattern on the elytra is even thinner and sharper.

In addition, under the piles of dry algae, there are a lot of nutcrackers Drasterius bimaculatus of all colors and sizes, some small Bembidions - I take them, glue them, but I don't dare to determine (labels as expected), staphylins from the genera Bisnius and Acylophorus, very small Paederus, 5 mm. (by the way, who can tell you which of the Paederus are the smallest, probably they are?), where it is wetter-water lovers, most likely Cercyon, 3-4 mm. If you dig the clay well, you can find the Astrapaeus staff, but I didn't find any other options besides ulmi. Etc.

But I still took three tasgiuses, my greed failed me. At home, it turned out that they were not so black - elytra with a bluish tint, legs red-brown. I suspect pedator. And the jaws fit. Don't judge the amateur harshly. In the worst sense of the word

Well, and photo sketches. The style and form of submission are still the same, of the Mongolian type –
what I see is what I sing about… smile.gif

Arthur, in your chosen transliteration system, it is better to write "Shekhovtsov" instead of "Shehovcov".
