Today I decided to clarify the situation with the outbreak of the number of caterpillars. First of all, I was taken aback by the variety of shrubs that were planted in our park.
So far, according to preliminary data, privet, birch bark, buckthorn, elderberry, and honeysuckle are growing there.
I must say right away that the honeysuckle, birch bark and privet are untouched. It seems that there is a suspicion that the caterpillars in the mass develop either on buckthorn or on elderberry, BUT!
It is impossible for me to understand what exactly they develop on, since on those bushes where there are caterpillars, there are simply no leaves and even the stem is poorly visible because of the spider web. But I noticed a few bushes so I could take a look later when the leaves came out.

Today I noticed a strange detail - on some bushes almost all the caterpillars are dead. They are a black bag with a watery liquid. There must be an outbreak of some kind of disease. There are bushes with healthy caterpillars, but standing alone.
In general, just a whole intrigue, and a good example of how everything is interconnected. By the way, Karina was told that these caterpillars can be poisonous. And indeed, there are plenty of birds in the landing, but they don't eat these caterpillars!!! Although they do not have any protective hairs and other things. I myself was even tempted to pick them up for food-there were so many of them, and they looked attractive, but then I remembered the rule - do not feed anyone with butterfly caterpillars!

While driving around the neighborhood, I took a little picture, I found a picture of larvae especially for Danmar where gampsokleis were, but these larvae are now so small that I didn't even catch them! Compared to the tettigonias that were also there, they just got out, about 6 mm in length.
But I didn't find any decticuses.
In the treetops swarm piles of kaikh-something raznoustyh butterflies, just darkness, a lot of pigeons are already flying. But belyanok this year somehow did not exist at all. Well, in general! Literally isolated instances were found throughout the spring. Oh, my God. Not like before - there are usually a lot of them. And in general, there are very few butterflies. Oh, these frosts....

We are already growing a soil drought. Cereals droop, various other shallow-growing plants wither. I dug in the ground-there is moisture at a depth of about 20 cm. This is already very, very much.
