Good day to all!
I went for two days to fish in the Odessa region on August 1 and 2. Caught only at night, the target was female Dolbina elegans and Marumba quercus. On the night from the first to the second of August, everything flew as usual, Dolbina and Marumba were absent. The next night I moved 1 km to the side and everything is different. One target was caught, a female Dolbina. Marumba probably already flew away(((
IMG_1254.JPG
Males most likely flew to the pheromones of a female sitting nearby. Then the female and the male who fertilized her flew to the screen.

All the same, from the heart straightened, with a sense of yes.gif
And I have a creative crisis, as there is nothing to quickly unpack and determine. And at this far-off hour, I undertook to carry out a long-planned famously-to remove small insects from the ceiling on the first-floor landing, where a whole pile of them had accumulated over the summer. The operation was successful, I spread out the mess on a piece of paper and fished out two new species for myself. In the mass of the leatherworm Anthrenus verbasci and a single specimen of Reesa vespulae. And some other anobiidine, very small, I left this one to soak, I'll try to straighten it out tomorrow. So the mood is completely different, everything, I take the moonshine to the kitchen, they say it's harmful to eat after eight. wink.gif

Well, since they don't write anything from Borneo, here's a little Chisinau for you.
I notice that the Moldovan capital is gradually going wild and getting wild for the better. And this is despite all sorts of improvements in the European style. Last week, in the very center of the city, in Pushkin Park, not far from a very catchy fountain (http://www.panoramio.com/photo/83720366 A population of Broscus cephalotes was found in a small flower bed, accompanied by Calathus erratus in the background. Let's say that calatus is occasionally found, but I caught broscus only once about 25 years ago in the Budjak steppe (extreme south of Moldova, Vulcanesti district, Etulia village) in a completely dry and lifeless place under a rock. There were three copies in total, two of which are still in the collection. That's all, I haven't met more broskus, although I've shoveled a lot of different soils. And suddenly in the center of Chisinau, and the flowerbed is quite wet, irrigated. In addition to autumn flowers and decorative driftwood in the center of the flower bed, there were paths lined with wooden roundels. Just below them... Flip these roundels of me feat crushed ex. broskusa 10 meters from the flower bed. The search for the nest was quick and productive.
Maybe those Budjak cephalothuses were SSPs. semistriatus? No difference was found between them and the Chisinau ones (according to the "green"). On some sites semistriatus is listed as an independent species, so I threw a question on the classification of insects (small. nomenk. question) but no one answered.

Hello, dear entomologists! On September 13, I visited the Plavnevy forest, which is located near the Antonovsky Bridge. The goal is to photograph a dragonfly that is most likely Chalcolestes parvidens and see what interesting things there are from lepidoptera. I was already in it at the end of July on one side of the bridge, now I decided to walk on the other.

I know that due to the fact that there are fewer insects in the fall, entomologists are beginning to feel sad. But personally, I was looking forward to autumn with impatience. A beautiful time of year with its insects, small but sometimes very long rains and the smell of fallen leaves. Already very tired of the heat, and various daytime butterflies do not like it.

However, for the first two weeks of September, autumn was not felt in any way: it was quite hot and dry. On Saturday, the temperature in my opinion generally reached 28 g. Compared to the previous year, when the whole of September and almost half of October we were flooded with no comparison: everything is the opposite. But just now, on the 15th and 16th days of September, the temperature has dropped and it has become cooler.

The forest is mostly poplar; it can be seen that it is artificial, because the trees are planted in rows. Among the butterflies I met Polyommatus bellargus, Argynnis pandora, Vanessa cardui, Aricia agestis, Pieris napi, there were probably other common ones, but I didn't pay much attention to them. I have been shooting more chervonets Lycaena dispar, which are the least common of all three of our chervonets. They are large, and are clearly visible in the grass when the wings open, like a bright flower among the greenery. I also met a very beautiful pigeon that I can't identify. Maybe this is some form of banal pigeon, or maybe something rare. On the trunks of trees, eggs of some kind of butterfly are often found.

Thank you. Actually, I suspected something similar. Is there anything interesting to read about her on the Internet?
Just wondering under what conditions such forms appear.

This is not a bellargus, it has a mottled fringe. This is apparently icarus.
Egg clutches - unpaired silkworm L. dispar.
On sagebrush, salt marshes, grudnitsy now is the time to look for caterpillars of various Cucullia. In the Crimea, tanaceti is now found en masse, xeranthemi is found, and argentina and virgaureae can also be found.

I read somewhere that such forms occur more often in warm climates. In the Moscow region, females of this type of icarus tend to have less intense blue dusting.

Meanwhile, the beetles are still being caught, and your good deeds will be counted in this world. At my mother-in-law's dacha (Kishinev, Stavceni), the dry land is great, and no secret thoughts about fishing were in my head when I agreed to go to these autumn gardening works. And here is a new species for me-Otiorhynchus dieckmanni, just crawling late at night on the wall of the house. This is the 15th species of Otiorhynchus in the collection, if all the others are correctly identified (although unlikely). And for some reason, such finds are especially pleasant, they are less random, the beetle meaningfully occupies an empty line in the list of curculionidae of Moldova. Which I don't have (the list).
Three Carpophilus lugubris and many C. hemipterus from the same opera Soronia grisea were found in rotten apples. I was hoping for some new glitters, but..... And there is also an interesting 5 mm stafik in the apples, today I will deal with it.
At night, insidiously turned out a thin naddvernuyu sweet and vventil his field proven. A 125V energy saver. Among the many different butterflies and webs, only two species of beetles visible to the naked eye are Vibidia duodecimguttata and some Trechus, previously new to me quadristriatus. But I'll dig some more.
And so on... Thanks to the local garden spirits. And my beloved mother-in-law.
