Everyday life in urban entomology. Issue 64. Ta-ta-ta-taaaaamm!
This year, the second Indian summer, the October warming, was slightly delayed, so the Chisinau elephants from Ceutorhynchinae also appeared later, and somehow not together. A year ago, at this time, the wall (north, by the way) of a nearby supermarket was already completely covered with Stenocarus ruficornis, and the peak of summer has already passed. I just don't know if it's summer or autumn migration in search of a place to spend the winter. Now it's not enough. And very little Hypera postica. These two species move synchronously somewhere en masse every year, and I have never found them in the summer, I don't remember such a case. But it's not about them, but those beetles that accompany them in piece quantities. Today it turned out to be Thamiocolus sahlbergi !! It's a great copy, although only one, but I hope to find a couple more. Two more species of Ceutorhynchus were caught, green and black, but very small, one and a half and two mm., two species of Sitona - S. puncticollis and S. macularius, the second is new to me. And the last find on the wonderful wall is a Psylliodes leaf block, 3.5 mm, while shto straightened out the land, I will determine (loudly said) how I will stick it. So far, I'm leaning towards P. chalcomerus. So, November, and the season continues, although last winter I caught in December and in January, too. And winter is not eternal, as it turned out later.

On November 14, Artur Shekhovtsov and I were in the area of the village. Khoroshevo. South of Kharkiv, floodplain of the Uda river.
The weather is acceptable for this time, the temperature is around +6, but sometimes the wind is stronger. Overcast, according to the forecast, even a light rain was planned, but it passed.
The previous days were also slightly positive, the bark was not frozen.
Arthur looked mostly under the bark, and was pleasantly surprised to find several imagos of Cryphaeus cornutus, especially at such a late hour.
I sowed well and the dropout rate is very encouraging, there will still be a significant replenishment of the assortment...

Dendrophilus (s. str.) corticalis corticalis (Paykull, 1798) (= Dendrophilus punctidor-sus Marseul, 1962; = Hister punctulatus Say, 1825 homonym: non Olivier, 1789; nec Brahm, 1790; nec Wiedemann, 1819; = punctatus (Herbst, 1792, nec O.F. Müller, 1776). [Radkevich, 1936; Alexandrovich and Tishechkin, 1991; Alexandrovich et al., 1996; Solodovnikov, 1999a]. Doc., Mi., Pol., Shum., Besh., Gor., Vit. It is rare and local. It is found in anthills of the genera Formica and Lasius, in nests of squirrels and birds of prey, less often in cellars. Adults overwinter. 18.03-12.08, beetle activity in the cellars is year-round.

D. (s. str.) pygmaeus (Linnaeus, 1758) (= Dendrophilus cooperi Stephens, 1830; = Hister dubius Herbst, 1792; = Hister formicetorum Aubé, 1833; = Hister picipes Olivier, 1789). [Alexandrovich and Tishechkin, 1991; Solodovnikov et al., 2011; Pliskevich, 2012, 2014; Solodovnikov and Pliskevich, 2014a]. Ver., Besh., Sept., Vit. Probably ubiquitous and common in the region. Myrmecophilus, found in the nests of ants of the genus Formica. Adults spend the winter in an anthill. 12.04 – 10.10.
