Today at 21-45 a dustpan arrived, I don't remember what it's called. The wing margin is strongly scalloped, brownish in color with orange spots, and the legs have bright white spots. I flew into the light.

While it is relatively warm, it can be met. Yes, she has an imago wintering.

February 8, in the evening after work, I'm sitting watching TV in the kitchen, and suddenly out of the corner of my eye I notice some movement on the new sofa (bought three weeks ago) - freshly brewed Tetropium castaneum! Apparently it came out of a furniture frame made of untreated coniferous wood. I haven't disassembled the sofa yet, so I can't say 100%. But there's nowhere else this barbel can hatch. In the photo, the barbel is slightly frozen, I threw it in a container in my bag, not thinking about the frost on the street, and while waiting for transport and driving to work, the barbel froze...

Today I saw a bee with a yellow leg! "I don't see any flowers." Only the woodlouse weed blooms here and there on the steep southern slopes freed from snow. I've never seen bees land on these flowers. And in some places there are overwintered flowers of veronica (also not visited by bees) and crushed, no longer any flowers of chistyak, which bloomed in the warm days of December, which is not typical for this spring-blooming plant.

Season 2011 in Saratov is declared open! jump.gif jump.gif
So!

04.04.2011. The temperature is +5C. Sunny.

There is still snow everywhere in the forest, but it has melted a little near the trees. The pond was also under ice, but in some places, right under the transparent crust of ice, some small larvae of the mosquito type were scurrying, and among them we managed to catch 5 water nuggets.
I also found an interesting Malachius larva on the shore ?aeneus and staphylinida. I found a nest of hibernating ants under the bark and decided to bring it home for study.

Roman, cool photos, thank you! And the forest with fluffy is a masterpiece!

I was in shock myself. before that, I only saw it in the natural history class (grade 1-3). and I drove past this swamp for 3 years several times a month and never saw such a thing. place / time! in general, we have a rarity, TC is too "south", and filed for rarity TC is too "north", but this is what it is and the FOREST STEPPE!

we have the same garbage "effect of the second winter" =pit, but the early spring ones fly "through snowdrifts", and in May, when the snow comes down.... you need to deal with the May ones, and forget about these until next March/April. each (butterfly / beetle/catcher) has its own... wink.gif
