What am I supposed to be afraid of? I don't want to raise children with you, as they say. It's just that your style of communication is somehow not very consistent with what is accepted in the cultural society in general and in the scientific community in particular. And this fact, in particular, does not add significance to your near-scientific (except for my personal evaluation opinion) works.

Head of the academic department: Sidorov, why do you regularly skip morning lectures on isthmus? You probably walk your dog in the morning?
Sidorov: Professor, I've never had a dog and I don't have one.
Head of the academic department: This is not an excuse.

Report on catching micra wink.gifin Pestovo, Odintsovo district of Moscow region, last weekend. In fact, compared to the moles, the rest of the interesting things were few and far between. According to the diaries, with the exception of two swamp rarities, swallowtail and dawn, I will support Fyodor-a) However, I also came across Lycaena hippothoe, which I previously only met in the Orekhovo-Zuyevsky district. There are not very many hawthorns, compared to the rest of the region, but at night the fact of reproduction of another white pest, Leucoma salicis, was clearly visible. In terms of the total number of butterflies, there were quite a lot of them on the night from 9 to 10, from 10 to 11 it was average, from 11 to 12 it would be the most if they flew all night, and not just 2 hours after a thunderstorm) At night, almost all the butterflies were banal, but there were more or less rare species-Sabra harpagula and Drymonia dodonaea, also once I met odorous and aspen woodworms, it seems too early for them. Several relatively frequent species turned out to be new to me, because I caught very little in Pestovo in June - Eupithecia subfuscata, Hadena confusa and Hecatera bicolorata (the latter was first caught a week ago); Charanyca trigrammica was a more interesting find. But mikra was pleased: there are several new or just rare species for me: the fourth find on the ETR Cosmopterix sibirica (made 5 meters from the thirdsmile.gif), Schiffermuelleria schaefferella (came across 3 years ago... dead on a window), Nematopogon? robertellus, Ancylis diminutana, Pseudotelphusa scalella, Eucosmomorpha albersana, and Scythris obscurella. It also seems that the weather in early June was favorable for fungi: many tinder trees of the genus Laetiropus grew on the oaks, where various invertebrates settled, including Lordithon lunulatus, which was caught in the frame. When leaving the dacha, I got in the area of the Zhavoronki platform under a powerful downpour with visibility less than 100 m. and hail up to 1 cm in diameter)

Summary report on visiting the village of Torbeevo (Moscow region) on 10 and 16.06.2012.

10.06.2012г. Participants: me, Alexey Vishnyakov and Vasily Feoktistov. The weather was very disappointing. Already on arrival at Zheleznodorozhny, where Alexey and I were supposed to meet Vasily, the sky was overcast. When we arrived directly at the fishing site, rain began to fall, which turned into a downpour. We were pretty wet, but we were able to pick up a few things:

Cerabycidae:
Acanthocinus griseus (females)
Saperda populnea

Buprestidae:
Melanophila acuminata
and Agrilus sp.

There are no photos, because the weather did not encourage photographing. But the most annoying thing was that when we arrived in Moscow, the weather settled down and the sun came out. Rudeness!!! mad.gif

16.06.2012 Participants: me, Alexey Vishnyakov and Andrey A. The weather was much better. There was no rain, and sometimes the sun came out. The result is much better: a bunch of Monogamuses, Acanthocinus both species. I was particularly pleased with the discovery of Saperda carcharis.

I'll add it Torbeevo this is a village, not a village.
In how... For some reason, I've always considered them practically synonymous (village/village). Although now I specifically looked - "village": it seems to be larger and with a church (judging by Wikipedia), but there are no clear formal differences, in general, I didn't understand anything... Or it is the local people themselves who decide what it will be called. For example, I don't remember that in our neighborhood "villages" officially appeared somewhere, this is probably only accepted in Russia...

Almost all of these beetles are collected singly on the trunks of cut down oaks (if you go from art. Gullies, then to the left along the clearing a lot of oaks)
Phymatodes alni-2 pieces on sawn oak (9.06)
Phymatodes testaceus-2 pieces on an oak tree (on a fallen trunk from below) (16.06)
Plagionotus detritus - 3 pieces on a sawn oak tree (9.06)
Pogonocherus fasciculatus-1 piece on thin branches of fallen pine (16.06)
Leiopus nebulosus-1 piece by mowing on growing bushes (9.06)
Anaesthetis testacea-1pc on sawn oak (16.06)

Thank you: I just go in the other direction all the time (from the ravines to the right), and there are not many oaks there.
Today I was climbing there and again found someone new for myself. The report will be available later: I'm tired now.

Well, I will report on my today's joyous trip to the above-mentioned power line clearing near the village of Torbeevo, Lyuberetsky district of Moscow region.
The result was very pleased with a single find of gold leaf Chalcophora mariana: all my life I dreamed of finding it near the house..... And now a miracle happened jump.gif
Also, for the first time in its life, Palaeocallidium coriaceum (Paykull, 1800) was collected on a spruce log in the amount of one specimen. Pleases very much.
Collected a single Aegomorphus sp. and I get lost: obscurior (Pic, 1904) is this or the usual clavipes confused.gifPlease help.
Types found:
Cerambycidae (except Rhagiini and Lepturini: Andrey.A. indicated the most likely species from these tribes in his report):
Acanthocinus griseus Fabricius, 1792, did not collect much.
Acanthocinus aedilis (Linnaeus, 1758) was not collected much.
Monochamus galloprovincialis (Ol., 1795) a lot, not collected.
Monochamus sutor (Linnaeus, 1758) was not collected much.
Monochamus urussovi (Fisch., 1806) found only a couple.
Plagionotus arcuatus (Linnaeus, 1758) collected 5 specimens.
!Palaeocallidium coriaceum (Paykull, 1800)! only once.
Aegomorphus sp.: please specify.
Ropalopus (s.str.) macropus (Germar, 1824) failed with this: collected one specimen. and dropped it past the stain weep.gif
Xylotrechus rusticus (Linnaeus, 1758) was not collected in wild quantities as usual.

Buprestidae except Agrilus sp. (I didn't collect a lot of them, though).
Chalcophora mariana (Linnaeus, 1758) is rare, but the discovery proves its presence very close to Moscow.
Chrysobothris chrysostigma (Linnaeus, 1758) много.
Chrysobothris affinis (Fabricius, 1794) is plentiful.
Melanophila acuminata (Degeer, 1774) is plentiful.
Phaenops cyanea (Fabricius, 1775) is plentiful.
Well, in general, in short, and all perhaps.
Some photos:

Good evening, dear forumchane!
Due to the fact that I can't go to the north in any way, I arranged yesterday (17.06) a small trip through the marshes near Moscow. Since this year the age of many species is ahead of schedule by a week, or even two, I assumed that there is a probability of departure of B. Aquilonaris, which is interesting for me, and the individuals I have are dated June 27-30. To do this, I went to the area of the village of Tsarevo, Pushkinsky district, I had to go alone, as I was going late in the evening, I did not look for fellow travelers. On the advice of a friend, I explored a swampy lake.
Before that, however, I had to get pretty lost, along the way I fished L. Achine, C. Selene, was surprised by a significant number of fresh large nymphs, I never saw admirals at this time. On the umbrella sea of bronzes, various barbels. The long drive to the lake was time-consuming. When I found the lake, I was somewhat disappointed. The same Selenes were flying around. On the cranberry marshes around the lake, I saw pigeons I didn't recognize a couple of times, and I scared off one bedstraw hawk moth. There is a lot of water in the forest and around the lake, apparently the rains played their part. Since there are from one to twenty meters of surface floats on the shores of the lake (I don't know how to use quicksand correctly), I decided to check whether they can withstand me. The first couple of steps - a positive result, holds. Then the water went over the floats, but the base is strong, nothing falls through. Of course, when I went there, I didn't think to take my boots, I got wet right away.
On the edges of the float, right near the water, mother-of-pearl flies, but they do not come close to the hard shore. I got closer, caught, again selenas, but fresh females, was disappointed and went further, on the northern bank of the float was 20-25 meters, I decided to fish there, well, the first Aquilonaris caught the third, good, apparently I did not lose out with the timing. To celebrate, he wrapped his pants up to his knees and began to search the territory, walking around the swaying plow. Selenae and peatlands flew together, a little later I began to distinguish them by brightness and flight. I fished well, was satisfied, now I will know for sure, since it is present in the name of the species Aquilo-we need to take swampers. Well, otherwise, the joy blocked the feeling of wet shoes, and for the first time I broke out this year, so to speak, I opened the season, I broke out of everyday work.
There are very few photos, I was alone, and there was very little time, I returned home for more than three hours, I did not take into account that on Sunday evening, Yaroslavka is worth it.
That's how I went.

On June 8, I installed a crown trap in the PTZ with the following composition: bananas+apples crushed in a blender like baby food and a teaspoon of oak juice for a day of fermentation. On June 12, I dismantled the trap, there are about twenty bronzes of aurata+metallica+lugubris+1fieberi. Trap at a height of about a meter in the hanging crown of an old oak tree.

A small selection of photos from the excursion on June 22, 2012 along the power line glade (which is located north of the Moscow-Kazan railway on the Khripan - Donino stage), and the surrounding forests (including roads, edges and the upper swamp).

Out of the picture: Maxim with a net and Vitaly with a camera are met. A pleasant introduction. Ragias (inquisitor and mordax) are mainly found on flowers (occasionally on logs and stumps), monohamuses (galloprovincialis and sutor), xylotrechus rusticus, other barbels and goldenrods at least three species have not yet been identified. 1 specimen of daphne (male) was taken on the road between the power line clearing and the peat bog. If we also recall the specimen that T. Macroglossum recently picked up on the same power line much to the west (at the Torbeevo - Ravine longitude), we can conclude that the view from the east (the northernmost one, where I noted it for a long time, several kilometers north of Misheron) has moved strongly towards Moscow. I don't know yet if there is such a noticeable advance from the south-east, where there is a fairly stable population in the vicinity of Beloomut. But the number that Daphne showed in the last weekend in Tugolesye (Boldyrev, Volkov, Elez toured), has not yet happened at other points in the Moscow Region.

Bottom line: among the satyrs (in the old way) were maera, hyperantus, glycerion, russiae (one male). Of the nymphalids, admiral (one is not ragged, but flown), xanthomelas (many), selene, ino, daphne (single), aquilonaris, lathonia, paphia (rare, only males), aglaja, ilia (many), populi (one female), urticae (single), xanthomelas (very common), c-album (rare), aurinia (rare). aurelia (singular), athalia. From whiteflies-hawthorn (a lot), turnip (single). One female alexis and one male argus were found to be reliable among pigeons; probable (not considered in close proximity) one copy each - allous and a male amanda. Of the fatheads-Venatus and single Morpheus. Only papilionaria, clathrata, brunneata (on the peat bog), atrata, and prunaria are reliable moth species. Nothing from the scoops at all (by the way, finally not a single instance of glyphica was found). Of the female bears, sannio females are rare. Among lichens, mesomella is rare.

And what is the selected barbel assembled on?

And what is the selected barbel assembled on?

Clytus arietis Linnaeus, 1758? I was also surprised: I never found it here. In theory, many deciduous trees should meet. On umbrella flowers, more is likely. But quite uncharacteristic for MO kind of like?

June 24, 2012, excursion to the forest area north of the Khripan - 41st km stretch of the Kazanskaya railway, Ramenskiy district of the Moscow region. All day long it was completely cloudy, with drizzling rain beginning to fall every now and then until the beginning of the third day, only in the evening the sun began to look out rarely and very briefly. The main purpose of the tour is to find two new clearings and a riding swamp. Two clearings were found, as well as a high swamp with wild rosemary, cranberries, fluff, marsh myrtle, etc., with three ponds, two of which - with a snow-white water lily. Unfortunately, blueberries were not found, although there are enough blueberries nearby in another high swamp, which is an order of magnitude smaller. Argus is not numerous in the newly discovered swamp, selene and brunneata are common, and aquilonaris is abundant. Cranberries grow throughout the entire area of the swamp, except for dry manes.

The best bug is the right one in the bottom row: Menezia's barbel

Not only him: nearby, to the left most likely Callidium (Palaeocallidium) coriaceum (Paykull, 1800) is also a good beetle here. Also, this is an isolated one, I found it on the fir trees this year. Year 1.

both were taken from a lying birch tree.
Saperda perforata quite a lot on aspens, and Saperda scalaris in the Sergiev Posad district sat on lying oaks, and in Khripani I didn't understand what - they flew from aspens to birches and back.
By the way, about these two Saperda question: both species have individuals with green and gray color. Is this a sex trait or a non-sex-related variation?

These Saperda often have gray individuals: this is normal, or maybe they are simply under-colored. This is not a sexual trait in any way.
S. perforata is also found on aspen and sometimes on poplar. S. scalaris on oaks all the time.
But the black barbel should be larger: if on a birch tree, then Ropalopus macropus can easily be (seen on the same clearing only closer to Moscow), and not the one that I assumed.
