There is no yellow sweet clover species. The yellow color of the corolla is characteristic of many species of this genus, such as sweet clover, toothed sweet clover, etc. Ask the botanists, maybe they can tell from the photos of the calyces that are visible together with the caterpillar.

out that we type "sweet clover yellow" we get-Sweet clover officinalis (Lat. Melilótus officinalis) — a two-year herbaceous plant, a species of the genus Sweet Clover of the Legume family of the Moth subfamily.
Folk names: burkun, wild buckwheat, yellow sweet clover, female sweet clover, yellow burkun, Italian grass, meadow burkun[1], burkunets, bottom grass.

An incomplete experiment with an attempt to breed and determine the food plant Deuterogonia pudorina (Woke, 1857).

The caterpillar wintered in a woven cocoon and unfortunately did not overwinter.

In 2014 and last year, they flew in sufficient numbers and I decided to offer the female something that grows in abundance at the fence in the country, this is willow and birch and lichen on a willow branch.
The female liked the willow leaf best of all.

Then I was away for almost 3 weeks (I was in the Crimea) and placed the eggs in cages on forage plants. Upon arrival, I found one small caterpillar in a cage on a willow tree and nothing in the other two cages.

29.08.2015 At this age, the caterpillar stopped eating, built a cocoon in a napkin on the lid of the jar and in this state went for the winter, and I did not think to move the cocoon to a bed of moss, I thought that it would be comfortable and made a mistake. Now there is one more goal to bring all this to its logical conclusion.

Yes, I forgot to say that when we were with the guys last year in Lishnyagi, this butterfly was born, just in that place the willows grow nearby.
