Let me ask you a question - why is there sugar? does it really taste better? smile.gif

"I told you - shit, and you "candied, candied"! smile.gif

Just a low quality bait so they add sugar wink.gif
To prepare a good-quality bait, you need to drink at least a liter of red fortified wine in the evening and make a bait in the morning. The cooking process itself is important then no sugar will be needed smile.gif

14.10.2013 9:29, Maksim M.

There is also a definite plus-it is a little less disgusting to work with your own bait than with someone else's..

14.10.2013 21:44, El Cazador

I have amused you, dear ones. Sugar was added to the shit for "catchability". For a few days, nothing went on the "naked" shit, so I added sugar. By the way, due to sugar or humidity pressure changed, but the butterflies went.

I found the site, though in French - it shows interesting traps

Greetings to all!
Who can tell you about catching Parnassus on bait? Thanks!

15.06.2014 9:47, Jukoman

I have the following question. Please tell your newbie what is the most convenient way to collect data:
1. Geotropics (any)
2. Rhinoceros beetles.
3. Mertvoyedov (without searching for random carrion).
4. Bronzevok.

You need to collect a large number.

bury a pot somewhere in a deciduous forest (0.5, 1lsmile.gif), put meat there, such as chicken fillet or other and you will be happy in geotrups and dead eaters.

bronzovok on crown traps-read the topic umnik.gif

well rhinos probably only in the light or dig overripe manure

I'll do a little extra work on Wafdog:
1. Geotrupids - to the light, manure, digging passages under the nav.
2. Rhinoceros beetles-sats, compost heaps.
3. Dead eaters - rotting meat or fish, soil traps (especially if overexposed wink.gif)
4. Bronzki-on flowers, inspection of flow trees, fishing for mash.

It is better to put already rotten meat, otherwise they will die. frown.gif

Everyone who is interested in catching glassworms on pheromones!!
picture: IMG_4401s.jpg

I will accept pre-orders for pheromones at the Moscow fair!

For those who can't come to the fair, but want to try out pheromone fishing next year, please contact me by email: konungomsk@yandex.ru

download file Pheromon3.doc

size: 45.5 k
number of downloads: 471

the attached file contains a list of species for which pheromones are available. There are not only butterflies, but also various other insects, mainly pests. For convenience, I specifically highlighted steklyanits in color. Yellow - Palearctic (European species), green-all the others.

No special traps are required for catching glassworms. For other groups, you can use pheromone traps of this type:
picture: trap.jpg

The pheromone is a rubber stopper impregnated with the attractant of the female of the desired species, which can attract males.

I will accept applications until October 25. I will receive pheromones in winter and send them to my customers.

The price of one pheromone, including delivery to Russia, is 500 rubles. Delivery in Russia is possible in various ways (mail, transport companies, etc.) and is paid separately.

Pheromones remain active when properly stored and used for 3-4 years. Long-term storage is necessary in the refrigerator (not during the fishing season).

Pheromones on some species have shown themselves to be substances of a wide spectrum of action, i.e. different types of glassworms sometimes fly to the same pheromone. Therefore, there is always a chance to catch something else besides the previously searched species.

Well, in general, the process of fishing is very exciting, akin to fishing, you can say. I recommend it! smile.gif

Today I posted information about pheromones of the genus Osmoderma here:

And these traps are bought from Jürgen Schmidl at bioform.de

Good results on bark beetles, flies, and hymenoptera.

On beetles, in general, not very much (except for bark beetles, as already mentioned).

colleagues,
tell me-are there any special ways to catch bark beetles (primarily interested in a typographer)?
Maybe some traps?

Trapping trees, pheromone traps

You have already been informed about the first three,
and the bronzes fly well on an overripe banana.
For example, in Khamar-Daban
, 3 types of bronzes (aurata, metallica, lugubris) flew well during the day on the bait from an overripe banana.
And at night, Catocala and other scoops flew at him in large numbers.

Where is it?

So where do I get pheromones for a typographer? smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif
Maybe where are they sold?

Last summer I saw a funny picture in our forest park: on one of the forest roads, local summer residents decided to block the path of cars. They dug in 2-3 iron pins, cemented them, and the next day paphias, elias, summer mottled wings, and V-white angled wings circled and sat on the concrete in that place. And then after 2 days there was and no one flew...

They were attracted by fresh cement. For the same reason, butterflies land on roadside mud.

Dear friends, can you tell me what kind of bait to catch hymenoptera? Especially interested in different types of bumblebees, carpenter bee and giant scolia.
What kind of lures and traps are used to catch dragonflies? The net does not work (maybe not enough experience yet): they are too timid and fast, they always leave me! mad.gif So, help out! mol.gif

All of the above animals will have to be caught with a net to keep an eye on,catch up,watch, guard, etc.It is necessary to get a good net and you will be happy.....

If you have waders or the bottom of an L1 suit and are not a fan of sleeping longer, then you can get up at 4 in the morning and walk through the coastal vegetation and look for sleeping dragonflies, which you do not need to chase at all wink.gif

Approximately the same results will be obtained by examining coastal vegetation in inclement weather.

Good afternoon! I ask experienced hunters for help. The day after tomorrow I'm going to open the garden season (Nizhny Novgorod region). I read that nymphalids hungry for the winter should fly now. How to attract them now? What do you recommend?

23.04.2015 12:38, swerig

It will be cold the day after tomorrow

23.04.2015 12:46, vasiliy-feoktistov

Well attracted to natural factors smile.gif
1) Blooming willow.
2) Current birch sap.
With nymphalids that have overwintered it is not particularly necessary to be wise smile.gif
The main thing is to be sunny and warm.....
