the question is still how to attach the file, click on the icon, writes me that I need to enter the URL. I don't understand anything...?

On a couple of days at the institute, a certain animal was crawling along the wall, which attracted me with its unusual appearance: the fact is that it reminded me very much of a scorpion, only without a tail with a sting. As a child, I was fond of entomology, collected collections of insects, but I didn't see anything like it. If it is not difficult, tell me what kind of insect it is, small, about 3-4 mm long, dark brown in color. Caught in the southern part of the Moscow region (if this is important)

According to the description, it looks like a false scorpion. Воно?: http://molbiol.ru/forums/index.php?showtop...ndpost&p=899402

The description is colorful, and it is not difficult to find out - this is not an insect, but a false scorpion-an arachnid from the order Pseudoscorpiones. Damn, I'm late again lol.gif!

Good evening!
Please help me figure it out!
This afternoon, an unknown insect was found in the folds of clothing on the outside. It sat firmly, and it was difficult to detach itself from the fabric. The length is approximately 2-3 mm, the body is elongated, pointed from the tail, the legs are attached immediately behind the head, the color is gray, a darker stripe along the top of the body. Runs fast for such a little thing. They decided that it was blood-sucking, because there was a bloody trail after it was crushed...
What is it? Does this species prefer solitude, or is there a colony waiting for us behind the baseboard?
P.S. This is not a cockroach, not a bug, not a moth, and certainly not an ant... We swam, we know...

Unfortunately, I didn't find anything similar in the topic...
The body is absolutely smooth, uniform gray color, opaque. The legs are much thinner and shorter, almost invisible, slightly darker than the main color, as well as the head. The stripe on the back is thin and distinct.

Are they bristle-tails?

Momogite people!! I woke up three days ago and on my knee a round blister itches and itches, in the evening it swells almost to the foot.... I treated the bed and all the baseboards with karbofos. I took everything apart and turned it over I didn't find anything alive, but I still processed everything. And this morning, the same thing on the hand already two bites, terrible swelling. and found some bug in the bed (treated a day ago karbofosom) crushed and threw out, did not have time to see what it is-nasty, small, 2-3mm. Help your wife in the 37th week of pregnancy, even if there is a bedbug, but the bed and mattress have been treated... And I also took off linoleum in the kitchen (repairs in the kitchen) and found some striped larvae in the corners and in some places their scales... What kind of attack is this?.. help

04.03.2010 21:55, smash-ru

yes, by the way, he ran on the pillow and did not jump, the dark one is 1-2mm

04.03.2010 21:57, smash-ru

I looked at everything everywhere - no black dots - NOTHING!! unscrewed everything, the entire mattress from all sides looked no holes or anything. and the bites burn-even if you fry fried eggs and strong edema

And there is nothing to take a picture with? Well, don't panic like that.

This is not the case - a pregnant wife and karbofos!!!
Move her somewhere else for a while. Think about the baby!!!
Under the baseboard, most likely - the larvae of leatherworms. They are not dangerous for humans.

We moved here 8 months ago. They moved as expected in boxes that were taken from stores. Some little-used items still lie in boxes, until they have acquired furniture. Recently noticed that there were some beetles at home. They began to sort through the boxes with things, and there were beetle larvae. Please tell me what these beetles are and how to get rid of them? Toli they came from boxes, toli still from where. They appeared a couple of months ago. They come out one at a time and mostly only at night, when I'm sitting at the computer. I hear-somewhere it will fly by. I turn on the light - sitting on the wall or crawling on the curtain.
What are these beetles and how to deal with them?

And the size of the beetle? Softwood furniture? Not Tetropium sp. is it?

Small - a couple of centimeters, large-three or three and a half centimeters. There is almost no furniture at all. There is only a bed-emdeef, and a computer desk-also some sawdust pressed.

12.03.2010 9:19, vasiliy-feoktistov

My assumptions were not justified (based on the size first of all). We'll have to wait to see what people have to say.

12.03.2010 9:28, Skopus

My assumptions are that this is either a bark beetle,or a tree beetle. I might be wrong, though.

Neither. Uniquely.

12.03.2010 11:31, Dmitry Vlasov

They look like barbels, but the appearance is not clear... And what is the region???

12.03.2010 12:41, Skopus

These are not shearers or whatever they are properly called. Altai Krai region Barnaul.

12.03.2010 13:47, vasiliy-feoktistov

In my opinion, this is still a mustache. Something from here: Subfamily Spondylidinae: tribe Asemini? (maybe).

Moustache for sure. It can be Callidium violaceum (sometimes they winter normally in private wooden houses, but do not cause any noticeable damage). Only the angle is unfortunate-it seems more subtle, and the poor guy is wet. Next time, put it in the freezer instead of boiling water and take a picture from the back.

Yes. Very similar. Thank you so much for your reply. How does it start? Where could he have come from at home? How dangerous is it? How can I withdraw it?

12.03.2010 17:54, Skopus

This is how it looks frozen. Only here it is tilted forward, and so it stands straight. This one is about a centimeter and a half in size.

IMHO Moustache of some kind (kind of difficult) They develop in the tree. Is the house made of wood? Do you have firewood at home? Or still look in the furniture. I don't know how they fight. Can confused.gifyou send it by hand

12.03.2010 20:58, RippeR

Trichoferus ?campestris.
I had suspicions that it happens in technical wood. (maybe this is a factor in its widespread spread to the west..?)

Fight.. I don't know - standard treatment, depending on what develops - cold, dichlorvos, other insect repellents..

12.03.2010 20:59, Stas Shinkarenko

Could it be Trichopherus campestris?

13.03.2010 23:32, guest: Сергей

I think I have the same ones... I couldn't see it in expanded form... when such a kaka fell on the floor, it became like rice, and the current is darker than the kid ... right? in short, if anyone understood what it might be, please unsubscribe:)

The house was built in 1916, brick, oak parquet of former times. I moved into the apartment a year and a half ago and only as a month in my room started up unknown to me beetles. I find 1-2 beetles a day, sometimes I don't see them. They crawl along the walls, up and down, without a definite purpose, as it seems to me.
The bug is small with a round belly, not aggressive and does not care.
Please help me understand who it is? and how to protect yourself from this insect. I'm afraid of them very..
Thanks smile.gif

Sort of like a pretend beetle (family Ptinidae). Most likely, Gibbium. Where do you live?

I live in St. Petersburg.
And the belly-back is translucent..
I thought about this fake beetle, but the photo doesn't seem to be him.
