My wife brought a bug like this on her clothes from the park. First thought TICK!!! The same flat and difficult to press. But then I saw a mustache and only 6 legs. The body is 3-4 mm long. Crawled sluggishly, but tried to fly away. Wings without elytra. Maybe a bug of some kind? Please classify them...

Most likely, the bug-podkornik Aneurus sp. (Aradidae) - it's hard to tell from these photos.

yes, the bedbug-podkornik. completely safe.

Hi. I'm looking for an answer - today I found a "new" (for myself) insect in the kitchen. The size is about 2-3mm, very similar to a scorpion, only there is no tail... The same two extended claws and holds them in front of him. Sorry he ran away, wanted to take a picture.

A false scorpion of some sort. If there is no "tail" -then it is not dangerous (just similar) smile.gif

I hope that someone on the forum can help...
The problem is this. On the bed where the children sleep, some insects appeared. They're blood-sucking!!! In any case, when you push, a drop of blood appears on the sheet. Children and wife are bitten. The bite looks like a small pimple.

Now what the aggressor looks like. It is a very small insect, about 1 mm or even smaller. It is difficult to see it even with a magnifying glass. We do not have any other means available. As a first approximation, it looks like a bug. I.e., the body shape is slightly rounded, with long antennae and a pair in front. I can't tell you exactly how many pairs of legs there are, 4 or 3. There is a yellow spot on the back. It looks like a small cockroach, but the cockroach has an elongated body, and this one is not like that. It differs from a bedbug not only in size. Bedbugs hunt at night, and this one crawls during the day. I tried to take a picture, but it's very small, you can't see anything in the photo. It moves pretty fast for its size, but it's easy to catch and crush. There is no bedbug smell!

I will be glad of any help, and most importantly-how to lime it?

23.05.2010 21:02, Dmitrii Musolin

see if any of this is similar:
http://www.google.ru/images?hl=ru&newwindo...=og&sa=N&tab=wi

it may still be bed bug larvae.

if not, then you need a photo... how many are there? Where are you living?

Hello everyone. I had some strange insects in my apartment last summer, but they disappeared with the arrival of cold weather. But now that it's warmed up again, they've started to plant me again. They are similar to grasshoppers only in dark gray color, the upper part of the body has a coloring like a wasp, that is, a black stripe, a yellow stripe, etc. At the end of the body there is something similar to a stinger. Grasshoppers, if I'm not mistaken, have four legs, and insects that have got me past the front and hind legs to repel there are two more pairs of legs. There are long antennae. In length, they reach up to 5 cm. There are no photos yet, but I'll post them soon.
I ask for help, they have become very annoying, I find up to 5 pieces a day, mostly on the walls.

24.05.2010 1:03, Fornax13

All insects have 6 legs, including grasshoppers.
"Stinger" is the female's ovipositor.
If the houses have Wed. stripes, then, I think, one of two things:

Or the house cricket Acheta domestica,
http://gallery.insect.cz/details.php?image_id=978

Or the greenhouse grasshopper Diestrammena asynamora
http://bugguide.net/node/view/37372

24.05.2010 1:09, Сергей Романов

No, this is not at all the same, those that I have are not light but almost black and as I said, the muzzle has yellowish stripes alternating through black stripes. Yellow stripes are dull yellow in color and not very noticeable if you do not prilyadovatsya.

24.05.2010 1:14, Fornax13

Here's a darker greenhouse:

24.05.2010 1:21, Сергей Романов

No, it's not very similar to those that I caught, the legs and color are different, the legs are very spread out). Here I go around the apartment with a photo aporat and I can't find it, I crawled under the sofa the last one I saw today.

24.05.2010 1:24, Fornax13

Well, then we are waiting for the photo)

Just like in the pictures, I have not seen. Yes, and it is difficult to consider it, 1 mm is the maximum. By the nature of the bites - bedbugs, but they do not look like, except remotely. We live in Moscow.

I don't know how many of them there are. Yesterday we caught 5 pieces, today - 1. They'll die from dichlorvos if they get a direct hit. If these are bug larvae, then why don't they become adults? Like 2 weeks already someone bites us... And larvae, as I understand it, can't lay eggs? No adults have ever been seen.

Anyway, thank you for responding.

If you get bitten, call disinfection specialists or collect them in a bottle and show them to someone from the biofactory department. I think there are a lot of both in Moscow.

24.05.2010 11:52, Dmitrii Musolin

only adults lay eggs. they, of course, should grow, but 2 weeks is not long.

you can't tell without a photo.

check the folds of the sofa, if it is against the wall, then the seams of the wallpaper, if the pictures are hanging, then under them and behind.

collect the insects in a jar and take a photo. use a strong camera or take it from the SES.

then write here what it turned out to be.

do they have wings?

24.05.2010 14:50, Dmitrii Musolin

k4ollega from the St. Petersburg SES wrote: It's not clear without the photo. You can recommend bringing it to the Department of Medical Entomology of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences In Moscow.

Thank you all very much!!!
I shouldn't have even created the theme. In the topic " Who is this?" I think I found the answer. These are ticks from pigeons.

Now I would like to get rid of them somehow. Who knows what insect repellent kills these mites?

25.05.2010 14:26, Morfey

And how do they get into your house?

28.05.2010 12:31, 4уня

Help save the apartment from the invasion of animals.
We make repairs in the apartment. When changing carpets and ripping off the baseboard, I found a whole colony of unknown insects. They look like maggots. The length is only a few mm.Light beige. They are strangely shaped, in the form of an elongated drop of something, it is better not to consider, small.they move not like caterpillars, but as if there are legs, but again they are not considered.
I note that there are especially many of them in the place where the ferret cage used to stand, where there was also wood filler and food naturally also fell into that corner, but this muck is piled up further around the room.I also often notice 1-2 in the toilet and bathroom, most likely they are all over the apartment, just because of the size you will not immediately notice.
Than it is possible to poison and in general that it can be?

Skin-eating beetle larvae (Dermestidae)

People, please help! Recently I noticed on my computer desk small creatures that I didn't know before! I saw it and was horrified! They are very small, but visible to the naked eye.The body is round, the legs are not small, they move quickly. The larger ones are gray, and the smaller ones are white.I saw them on the monitor, on the keyboard, on the speakers standing on the table and on the very surface of the table.I killed them, and there was a click when I crushed them.Today I began to look closely, and found 10-15 pieces. Two even on their own hands(hands were lying on the table, most likely crawled).I can't attach any photos.because the camera doesn't allow it(it's hard to see).
Can you tell me who they are and how to get rid of them?

Hello. There are some insects in the bathroom. Up to 1 mm long, mostly crawling, in some cases jumping. They prefer to crawl along the seams between tiles. I don't know where it comes from, I kill 2-3 pieces a day. Help me identify...Picture: An insect.jpg
