Good day to all, gentlemen.
Today, a meeting of all Chisinau poachers wink.giftook place. We went as a friendly team to the south-west, to the village of Serata-Meresheni. the forest was badly dented by the past rains and the atmosphere was indistinguishable from a steamer, but at least something was recruited
The command staff consisted of the highly respected Chegar, RippeR, Igori Biol, and yours truly)

I can confirm that this was the case. The only thing is that evilforester (aka Checker, aka London, aka Elusive Joe) managed to shoot his friends either sleeping or with extremely unintelligent faces. Which is not true. The fifth member of the team, Vasilisa the Beautiful (Daewoo Matiz) is represented in general by parts, and not the most profitable ones. For example, she has very beautiful eyes.

We never got to the place we were supposed to go. Both our Susanins, Igor and Andrey, did not find the turn from the forest road to the clearing. So for two hours we just ploughed through knee-deep mud, sometimes falling into ruts full of water. At first, the expedition members amused themselves by picking up Vernalis floundering in puddles, encouraging each other with stories that somewhere they were being bought for a pupaar apiece. Then I got tired of it. In the forest there were still several thousand not only the blackest, but also the bluest, and even the greenest dung beetles. The main operator (aka assistant chief operator, aka stunt team) collected more cicadas, which is noticeable on his mattresses.
In the end, we just stopped, stomped around, had a smoke, and went back. On this, in fact, the fishing ended. On the way back, I was about a kilometer and a half behind, trying to get the twigs out of the rut with a branch-shaking device. And after all, they are really fast, infestations, but I still caught two pieces, most likely all the same Gyrinus natator. In addition, a dozen interesting chrysomelina and one large Coraebus rubi were recovered from the puddles. Here I specially took it out of the freezer and measured it-exactly 13 mm and this is without a head. The giant had been in the water too long. In addition, in the meadow, the same device was mowed down "cool" nutcrackers, even leaf eaters and weevils. And among them, larinuses were collected from some weeds. I don't have enough Larinus jaceae for a full gentleman's set of lirins, so I have to grab anyone.
The main thing in this trip happened already at the entrance to Chisinau. A solemn transfer of the male Rosalia alpina from the hands of Sani to the hands of Igor took place at the autorack (the terms of the transaction were not disclosed). Immediately after, the precious mattress was blown off the table by the wind, and the precious male was blown out of it. He, however, was instantly discovered by Sasha and returned to the place unharmed. The participants in the deal were so enthusiastic about the exchange that the Matiz formula pilot had to drink beer for them and snack on chocolate-covered peanuts, which the high-changing parties chose as a snack from the simply available nuts, crackers and chips.
Yeah, that's how it was. It is great that the Chisinau cell of the banned organization "Moldbiol in the former Maghreb" successfully planned and carried out this memorable and resonant act. We have toured Moldova before, of course, in different versions of the line - up, but together-for the first time. And we all saw that this is good!

PS. I forgot to tell you. Andriukha really slept through the second half of the blitzkrieg. He fell asleep on the log just after leaving the forest. Pre-devouring the tomatoes brought by Igor. Then I slept in the car, and through my sleep I supported a discussion about the range of the nominative cerdo cerdo at a gas station. He had to be delivered almost to the entrance.

Yes, I already realized that my crazy" rubi " from the puddle is also called undatus.By the way, this year this is the second new species of the genus for me - a month ago, Sasha and I caught elatus in the Caprians.

Eeeee, hello again gentlemen. Unexpectedly, even for himself, either from lack of sleep, or because of good weather. I didn't sleep a wink all night. I was eager to check out the places where I'd stumbled upon Alpina last time. In the morning, I went to my favorite places earlier. Kojusna-Capriany route, along the power line. I will say right away that on the eve of the night, a powerful thunderstorm swept through the forest and turned the soil into a skating rink, but worse than yesterday with komradami. The catch is insanely small. I caught so little only at the beginning of April, during my lunch break, at work. Well, the richer you are, the happier you are. Looking at it

When professionals are silent, fans say
Last night "luminaries" at the dacha at the mother-in-law. The equipment is more ancient than a wall lamp, just a former lacquered bar for two cartridges. In one - a fairly strong energy saver, in the other a 40-watt light bulb. Plus a sheet on the veranda wall. The experience is completely new, I have not seen this yet, although of course the savings account is not quite the same. The only question is: why is all this mass of insects so eager for light, because they do not mate and do not hunt. But they just climb over each other's heads or sit stupidly for hours somewhere on the sidelines. Some kind of failure of instinct. I also thanked my luck that I didn't collect butterflies.
By beetles. A lot: males of lampirus noctulica, some harpals of the rufipes type, and with them a couple of species of ophonus, small staphylins of several species. Lebia (Lamprias) cyanocephala (Linnaeus, 1758) was the first to be found, and I immediately realized that this is not a common chlorocephala. The home examination justified the hope. I also came across two interesting curculas of unusual colors, but I haven't dealt with these yet. I'll take it tonight. Three zoopherids were extracted from this insect soup, most likely Aulonium trisulcum (Geoffroy, 1785). As I understand it, they live under the bark, I have never met them, although in my lifetime I probably scoured a small forest. I took bembidions of two types, but only a couple of pieces, it is very difficult to collect from the sheets. One species is something like B. biguttatum, but not a fact, the second is more interesting and in any case new to me. Possibly B. femoratum. I took a few very small (3mm) vodolyubov, while I put it aside. And finally, Exocentrus punctipennis. I don't know if it's rare or not, I haven't seen it before. I grabbed it just as I was lifting my foot to jump out of the chair. But I caught it, landed normally, only I had to give the appearance of a naturally growing broken tomato bush. Still, my mother-in-law's vegetable garden. With the exception of mass species, that's all. Before turning off the light (approx. at 3 o'clock), caught about five large shovels for the Reaper.

Thank you, I read it, very interesting (it was about a mass summer of insects in the world). But for a more in-depth study of this phenomenon, it is necessary to involve sociologists - the behavior of six-legged people is too similar to the desire for" light " of all mankind. And it is also accompanied by mass migrations of peoples, world wars, genocides and revolutions. This is called progress. Do not forget about the role of the individual. Why do individuals of the same species behave so differently - some curl around the lamp, others persist in crawling over the bodies of higher tribesmen, and others sit quietly somewhere to the side. I'm seriously writing this, who knows what's going on outside the illuminated circle? Maybe they don't fly to the light, but run out of the darkness?

Small 2-hour excursion to nearby forest plantations and to the lake. The place is hozheno-perehozheno, you have to look for such nooks that you passed by before without looking. So, a lifeless grove of oak-linden-maple-acacia trees, in which there is nothing but half-dead trunks, almost bare ground. Bedbugs, earwigs, cockroaches, various cicadas, spiders and ants are scattered from the branches along the outer perimeter. From beetles-ladybirds, from limes-Exocentrus lusitanus in abundance, from oaks-Opilo pallidus periodically. The first surprise is a pair (3 and 4 mm) of Laemophloeus monilis from Laemophloeidae. And almost immediately - several Litargus connexus from mycetophages. A trifle, 2.5 mm, but it's nice, I didn't have these. At this point, the edge of the forest has exhausted itself. Going deeper into the forest (50X50 m), without much hope, I stirred up the pale growth of twigs and leaves growing directly from the oak trunks. Attelabus nitens, a male, fell almost immediately. Also the first find for me. Then some Otiorhynchus began to fall in twos and threes, similar to fullo, but smaller, slightly (to varying degrees) brownish, light abdomen, many small light spots on the elytra. I spent an hour at home, but I didn't find anything definite on the network. But the view is definitely new to me. I still want to think that it's not fullo. And the last interesting find - Gasterocercus depressirostris, in the same place, on an oak tree. What can I say, I'm thrilled.

In total, for two hours of fishing - four or five new species. When I was walking back along the shore of the lake, I noticed some larins on the thistles, and they followed me with frightened eyes.

Good evening, everyone.

We got out, once again with VIS, in the village of Lobodernoye, the outskirts of the village of Gurbentsy, Srebnyansky district, Chernihiv region.
Caught in the night from 27 to 28 number. The night was quite hododnaya and by 23: 30 the temperature was already only +13.5
Flew a little and mostly banal views. This time there were no pleasant surprises. Scoops (mostly small ones), moth flies, two or three types of lichens, the standard for hawkmoth (small and medium wine, euphorbia, bedstraw), from tufts, only dromedary flew.

23/08/2013 I visited the plavnevy forest, which is located in the vicinity of the village of Tokarevka in the Kherson region, as well as the bank of the Dnieper River along Tokarevka-Ivanovka-Novotyaginka.
The Plavnevy Forest is an interesting place. yes, but there are not enough butterflies. I couldn't go very deep. because there is a swamp, and it sucks. Grassy vegetation is rarely found under trees, but it is more common in warm, sunny areas. From butterflies - the usual for the entire area admiral, mother-of-pearl pandora, meadow moth and cotton scoop.

Descent into the forest along the rakushnyak-lime cliff:

Abruptly on the change of steppe heat comes the forest coolness below:

Among the butterflies in osovnoye, there are the usual admiral, mother-of-pearl pandora, meadow moth and cotton scoop found throughout the region. But I also came across something more interesting-Lithosia quadra:

Beyond the forest, along the slopes of the Dnieper River, there were also swallowtail, saffron yellowberry, red shashechnitsa, mignonette whiteflies. But I didn't take them off, because I was already tired.

Here is such water on the bank of the Dnieper river with us:

In general, I liked the place, but I expected more.
