And near Riazanovsky, in the Moscow Region, a suitable place for Apollo, if anyone was there?

20.08.2007 18:29, Vlad Proklov

Personally, I have already found smile.gifEverything in the same Kasimov. We discussed it at the beginning of the summer.

I meant in the Moscow region - in the Ryazan region, it has long been known smile.gif

I managed to visit Nerskaya Street again. Not myrmidons were already interested, but caterpillars of C. lunula scoops.
Here you go. Forage plant-linseed (Linaria).

After Nerskaya, we went to visit friends in Vinogradovo (Voskresensky district). I turned on the light bulb, DRV-250. From butterflies only a little scoop H. micacea, B. satura, but there were some beetles.
Mediocre years despite the heat.

Friends, I have been longing to catch Nymphalis antiopa for many years, but I have not met it in the MO. Please tell me if you've ever seen it on the territory of the Ministry of Defense, and if so, where exactly?

to kotbegemot: yesterday and in Moscow it was smoky, but today it's better, the Ministry of Emergency Situations is still coping.

to Solarway: Yes, we have N. antiopa everywhere, but this year and last year I didn't see it at all. In 1999-2000 in Odintsovo district there was a lot of it both in spring and summer.

22.08.2007 16:36, Pavel Morozov

And which ones?

I'm not an expert on beetles, but there are Carabidae and Curculionidae.

22.08.2007 16:52, omar

Hurray! And I saw the mourning woman everywhere, and in Moscow, too, everywhere, it's easier to say where I didn't see her. But this year, yes, it hasn't happened yet, I think it will fly in September.

22.08.2007 17:56, Ilia Ustiantcev

It seems that this year everything has been moved forward for a month? By the way, there were no unusual cases in 2007 of the appearance of the second generation in butterflies that are supposed to have only one? or araschnia porima&

22.08.2007 18:49, Pavel Morozov

Here is the autumn Araschnia levana I saw today.

In spring, it goes well on clearings and forest roads warmed by the sun yes.gif. It's harder to find in the summer. I always found it on the outskirts of forests and clearings, naturally sunny. In the Ministry of Defense, it is everywhere.

Well, gentlemen, global warming in action: I just saw a fresh male Apatura ilia on Ilyich Square. The second generation, you must understand. And something early, a few years ago this already happened, but in September.

24.08.2007 10:32, Guest

ilia flew to the All-Russian Exhibition Center last weekend.

The heat had done its job. Moscow region cottages were chosen by bindweed hawkmoth. They barrage over tobacco, petunias, phlox and mattiola, and fly into the light. In addition to them, moths Eulithis testata, Calospilos sylvata (awesome, second generation!), scoops Noctua pronuba, Noctua interposita, Antitype chi, Nonargia typhae, Helicoverpa armigera (also unexpected!), Laspeyria flexula (already the third generation) were pleased with their presence on the wide screen. Of the order's ribbons, only Catocala nupta.
Here's a movie like this.

Is pronuba rare? I haven't seen her in MO yet, though... And I had a lot of Calospilos sylvata in the first generation, although it is a rare butterfly.

What size is Laspeyria flexula?"

By the way, I must say that Eulithis testata has a very long time period. This year, the first one came on August 4, the second - on the 24th. Mostly, of course, they fly to the Moscow region in the second half of August, and come across in mid-September.

26.08.2007 17:47, Pavel Morozov

Noctua pronuba is common in some places (as I was told, in Avsyunino (Orekhovo-Zuyevsky district) even very much).
Calospilos sylvata is a very frequent butterfly where bird cherry grows. I haven't personally met the second generation yet. Probably the heat.
Laspeyria flexula is a small owl, beautiful, similar to a sickle-wing. The first generation was larger than the second. The current copy is no smaller than the first generation copies, rather dark.

I forgot to write about the caterpillar of the swallowtail, which I caught in my dacha on dill. A swallowtail caterpillar is always a pleasure to find.

And the light gray moths are probably frosted leaf wrappers. And last year, at the end of December and on New Year's Eve, butterflies could fly? And what else about moth: winter and skinned?

How often do Lemonia dumi and Lemonia taraxaci fly to Moscow?

The bindweed couple arrived at the light this weekend. Fresh, but they fly somehow slow and heavy compared to the South. The tapes are almost extinct, fraxini are already dead in the forest, the number of sponsas has sharply decreased (to units after hundreds), even the banal nupta did not fly to the light and only one was found in the park. I wonder where the second generations of other hawk moth are?

27.08.2007 11:59, omar

Why don't my bindweeds fly to the light? frown.gif

27.08.2007 11:59, omar

This year even yazykanov no.
