Nothing else comes to mind but Calliteara abietis. But, for the sake of justice, it should be noted that the pupae of C. abietis from various Internet sites are not too similar to the pupa from the photo of Vasily. Maybe someone else will speak up.

What can you say about this pigeon caterpillar? I found Pseudoterpna pruinata on a caterpillar today, which it confused with a twig (and I, accordingly, confused it with the larva of a rider or tachina), apparently, it made its way to me like a hare along with a forage broom collected on a burrow. Isn't that a raspberry tree, by any chance?" Length 6-7 mm.

Um.. and what is she waiting for? How long will he stay like this?

It all depends on the type. Some pupate within a few days, others sit until the end of summer and only then pupate.

Germany, Harz, 600m altitude, pine forest. 17.05.2014.

Probably Phigalia pilosaria.

Good day!
I found a larva / pupa. Sorry, I didn't get a better photo. It is about 4 cm long, dark brown, and has a black head. She was lying on the lawn under an oak tree.
Who will turn out of it? Can I grow it at home, and if not, what should I do with it?

Thanks!
Googled the pupa, that's the one.
What do we do with it now? Can I grow it at home or should I take it to nature?

It is better to bring out at home, and in the nature to release an adult butterfly.

The view is very simple in content and does not require creating any special conditions. Let it lie in a cardboard box, so it lies in it. It is necessary to keep warm, but at the same time protect from direct sunlight. The butterfly will appear in one to two weeks. For normal breeding, the butterfly needs to provide a rough vertical surface so that it can climb on it and spread its wings normally.

I'll insert 5 kopecks (I ruined a couple of butterflies like that): we also need above-average humidity.
A cotton pad half-moistened with water is added to the jar or box (squeeze it out so that it doesn't drip!).
Check-dry leaves in the container should not break, but should bend.
Otherwise, the covers will dry up and the butterfly will not be able to break them - the cocoon will simply dry up.
