Crickets and cockroaches can be very small and only larvae - they agree with hunger and do not eat this. And it is dangerous to make sure that there are no crickets or cockroaches nearby when molting. Adults are like fly-eaters. I feed my own fruit flies and I don't know any problems! There are 3 banks where fruit flies are bred, covered with a piece of paper. It is easy to take away the flies from there - put another jar on top and pull out the piece of paper. Then put it back in, and whatever comes up is put in the freezer. I now have 5-year-old empuzas, individual fruit flies are too small, but this is not a problem: I "roll" several flies (10 pieces) into one "drosophila cutlet", attach it to a live wire and give it to the animals. They eat with great pleasure. For me, it is more difficult to breed crickets, and cockroaches are more disgusting than fruit flies

1) If the mantis has a strange growth on its head and the whole mantis is "wobbly and strange" - empusa. Keep in a dry place, put dry grass and branches to make it comfortable to crawl and hang. You don't need to water them, and feed them flies/mosquitoes of a suitable size (no larger than the grip on the front of your paws).

otherwise 2) If the size is less than 5 centimeters - rivetina/iris/Bolivaria, keep in a dry place, warm, feed insects no more than 1/3 of the body length of the praying mantis, throw herbs and branches

otherwise, 3) If the mantis has black spots on the inner side of its front legs - an ordinary mantis, feed it with fillies and grasshoppers of any size, keep it in a moderately dry place, sometimes water (spray), put strong branches on which the mantis can hang.

otherwise, 4) If the praying mantis is of a powerful build, there are whitish spots on the wings from the sides - a tree mantis. Humidity is slightly higher and there are more branches with leaves. Feed everything that moves.
