Similar mood. At the beginning of winter, it was easier to wait for spring. And now - entomological "beriberi". As a source of vitamins for maintaining strength - only a forum and working with the collection.

They have a year-round time under the bark to look for.. On January 24, I found both hematodeses and Cinnaberinuses..

And here's today's report:
Strong wind, not very warm..
Kravchegs, some weevils, beetles, and opatrums of sabulesum are coming in full swing.
there are a couple of small videos about how kravcheg works and Mike sits on the palm of his hand, who wants to-I will send them personally, but they don't want to attach files..

2 such weevils ran along the ground, they are common in that place..
1.JPG
In a pine stump appeared such a chicken larva, who can say whose? Presumably spondylitis, or maybe monogamus.. It's just too big for an asemum or cryocephalus..
2.JPG
under the bark of fallen rotten birches sat various reptiles, there were a lot of small beetles, even 1 bug found podkornika.

And next to it, on the same slope, was a T-shirt
5.JPG
And in the forest there were a bunch of flowers, who knows who they are? And there's a weird lichen on the tree

Damn, you already have kravchiki climbed.. Onsmile.gif the other hand, in my opinion, it is a clear anomaly.. For the first of March (though Moldova) - a clear bust. I wonder what will happen in the Moscow region. Apparently, spring will also be early here..

Eh, good RippeR! Straight, white, light envy chills! I don't know about early spring here in the middle zone... I would like to hope, but it seems that there will not be such a thing as last year. Next week, by Friday, it seems that snow and cold weather are promised.

02.03.2008 0:30, Victor Titov

Here, I looked at the forecast on the Internet. 6.03 in Yaroslavl at night promise to -5, in the afternoon -2. 7.03 at night -9 (!), in the afternoon -3. Approximately the same light-frosty weather, with slightly higher night temperatures, will continue until 12.03. However, in Moscow it will be 2-3 degrees warmer.

02.03.2008 7:51, RippeR

we also promise a cold snap this week..
Despite the fact that we have warmed up, kravchegi climbed-nothing special.. More species were found under the bark. Most of all, I was pleased with Mike, but what she did in that place I don't understand smile.gifat all Because it was a mixed planting, mainly of birches and pines.

02.03.2008 10:42, Kovalevsky

And in the forest there were a bunch of flowers, who knows who they are?

Flowers-sort of crocus (saffron) net (Crocus reticulatus). I don't know how rare it is in Moldova, but in Ukraine it is a red book species.

Koat report. Yesterday. +12. Basically, everything is left under the bark.. Not much was found, but there are some interesting things - bedbugs podkorniki 2 species, weevils under the bark 2 species, 1 pretender, strange small beetles, etc. inetresnosti..
On the trunk of one tree, with the bark torn off, hung 2 dog ticks, hefty!
1-an interesting weevil under the hornbeam bark. Barely noticed. Small, but it looks just great!
the image is no longer on the site: 1.JPG
2 - something that reminds me of either shadowhunters or darklings, but these are just guesses.. the reptiles are very small, also under the hornbeam bark, some even mated under the bark..

Mushko was sitting in the hollow of a tree

Mushrooms are similar to the orange pepper (Aleuria aurantia (Fr.) Fuck.). Sort of edible in the literature... But I don't recommend trying wink.gifit .

And here's a lie! I started Googling Aleuria aurantia, and found that RippeR met a completely different, but really similar mushroom-Sarcoscypha coccinea, Sarcoscypha bright red. You can read about it here http://www.toadstool.ru/spisok-rodov/sarco...cypha-coccinea/ They write that aesthetes highly respect this spring mushroom...

Yeah, the weevil is really awesome! This is apparently what was called Acallocrates denticolle (Germ.).
And small ones-I would say from Colydiidae. Also very much nothing smile.gifM. B. Corticus, or something else in this spirit.

March 8, 9, Mankovka area, Cherkasy region,+5 rain drizzles, but they are already flying-Apocheima pilosaria, Agriopis marginaria, Conistra rubiginosa, Eupsilia transversa-we can say the opening of the season took place.

March 12th. Ukraine, near the city of Cherkasy. During the day - up to +15. Lemongrass and Angloptera c-white. A. parthenias not met, but in this weather in a few days should appear smile.gif
Several overwintered caterpillars: scoops, bears.
I'd like to walk around on weekends, otherwise you don't really find yourself at lunch break.. But on weekends-the sky is overcast and it rains)
And the first flight of the day butterfly was observed this year on March 7-male smile.giflemongrass

It's time for today's report.
Basically, I went to check the traps and, accordingly, look for something..
There was almost nothing under the bark.. In the traps there are several convexus, 1 pterostichus, a couple of amar, a very small beetle and basically everything..
We found a building with stalactites cool.gif

the mushrooms were gribochnichali.. I think this is a different species, since those past ones grew on pieces of wood under the foliage in the forest, and these are just like that in a clearing..

on the way back, a hawk moth pupa was randomly found in a piece of wood.. what was she doing there?. Dolbina I suppose shuffle.gif rolleyes.gif

So, March 17, Cherkasy. Conistra rubiginosa - on the way to worksmile.gif, the 2nd copy is mine. Interestingly, the first one flew into the house as a New Year's gift during the thaw on 31.12.2003 smile.gif

Crimea, March 5-13. In local areas, Colias crocea, Pieris rapae, Pontia edusa, Issoria lathonia are widespread.
Into the light - dozens of scoops and moths, at me, at the screen, in the grass... and a little micra. In total, I counted 16 species.
Now the weather has turned bad, everything is gone...

So far, we have only three types of ropalacerchikov flying out. Si album, pontia daplidice, and inikis io. Odnokka is also not bad. T-shirts caught in Rezen, in the course of two types, with a knee-length mustache one and just, Latin is not yet known. The Dorkashi have already started climbing out.So already caught holoseritseuma 5 pieces, though they chewed each other, I put them in one flask, and they started to arrange disassembly without ethyl acetate, you know, as a result, one copy of the digestible remained and 2 tauricums caught. Under the bark of the carbus granulatus filled up. Rpanin in this regard is generally a beast. I got such cool stumps lying down, and the bark almost flaked off like clockwork and lay for a long time and only one granulatus, well, in small things, red cucuzhus, plesneedy and ground beetles are small black 1-2 mm. frown.gif . And he was buzzing in the winter, well done. I checked the traps on the KMS Oz recently. (or rather, what is left of it) there are at least 5 species of buzzing beetles and one convexus. But with the rest of the blackness, I don't understand it yet, so I'll post it in time and, if possible, determine it myself. I also buried the cups under a dead dog. The results are ordinary, nothing particularly interesting. Here is a chaotic report on the last 5 trips to nature. cool.gif

05.04 we went to the area of the Polessky nature reserve (Zhytomyr region), caught 250,125 DRV and 30 watts of bacterocidal-rosneseny meters for 30-40.
It flew in large numbers:
O. incerta, opima, gothica
L. hirtaria, B. strataria, E. crepuscularia,
in small quantities
P.flammea,B.nebuculosa,C.vacinii,C.rubiginea,L.furcifera,C.rubricosa
T.carpinata
A. flavicornis
several micro species-colleagues took
it at night, small carabids began to crawl into the light-a colleague also took it.
Well, the most interesting thing is Endromis-they took as much as they wanted and still have a lot left.
I took 2 females and 4 males. Of the 3 females, 2 flew to ultraviolet light and opima flew more to UVL.

Report for 08.04.08 Chisinau (KMs. oz.)
Finally I got out to check the traps. It's been 20 days since the last check. Yesterday it was raining, it was cool about 10 and there was slush, this weather lasted about the whole week. And today is 22 !!! the heat and the sun didn't seem to be hiding anywhere. There were 84 instances in 15 traps. They're all black, so what are the views? But the visual assessment is about 11 species, 18 were crippled, I threw out In this series in comparison with the last one, 5 more species were added, but there are no 2 species from the previous one. I decided to try out a new bait, so that it is cheaper-1 tbsp. wine + 3 tbsp. spoons of sugar + salt 2-4 spoons (for 3 liters). And as a substrate for fermentation, cherries from under compote, as they say, so as not to throw it out and so that it is useful for the cause. We'll see what happens next.

Ah , but I still manually operate everything. And in the south, plowing began !
I'd like a bigger picture.
And my advice : do not put raw beetles with stretched legs on cotton wool. Then you can't peel it off and put it back together .When drying as a rule all segments

Carabus (Limnocarabus ) clathratus -1, I specially went for it!
Carabus (Carabus) granulatus-a lot, but all did not take
