I went today to the Serebryanno-Prudsky district of the Moscow Region, in the vicinity of the 152 kilometer station. The result, to put it mildly, is not good - there are no rare whiteflies (and there are not enough ordinary ones-instead of them only Siona lineata), cool Pyrginae, pestles (but flocks of poplar tapeworms) and bears (only meadow caught). Background view of Parectropis similaria in the surrounding forests. Among the interesting ones are the moth Aplocera plagiata, the terribly beautiful scoop Moma alpium, and a rather fresh plum crested. Also for the first time I met a barbel from the genus Rhagium, as Alexey Sazhnev already suggested to me, this is Rhagium sycophanta.

Report for this weekend from the Moscow region, Odintsovo district, the vicinity of the village of Pestovo. I will immediately say that the night is disgusting: +8 and it is clear that only the wind was not enough for complete happiness (although it was windy on Sunday and Saturday afternoon) and the moon, which was near the horizon. The most interesting things are collected (or poked) during the day. I found Euphydrias aurinia, which is actually banal, but for Odintsovo district can be considered interesting. The big eyes were already flying. A lot of poplar tapeworms and plum tufts. I also found a barbel called Carilia virginea.

And we have next door in Chigasovo, too, nothing special.
A rainy night from Fri to Sat contributed to a good summer, and the next it was completely cold and empty.

to Ilya U: Avrinia in Odintsovo district is not such a rarity. At least it was. Thanks to the monstrously dense buildings, a number of its biotopes were destroyed.

Of course I'll cook it-only in the fall. I don't have a microscope or reagents here.

you can cook it in plain water, just to soften the seams. The required valva process will be visible even without a microscope. You can preserve the cooked genitals in an alcohol solution.

I didn't have time to report for the last two weekends when I was too busy at work. True, there is nothing much to write about, but nevertheless. The first weekend was at the dacha one night from 29 to 30 May, it flew not bad, but without any particular rarity. We can distinguish only two bicuspices. It was overcast during the day, but that didn't stop the tsinksias from flying.
DSC03926.JPG
For the weeks from May 31 to June 3, I caught it in Moscow(Ukhtomka), it is clear that there is little interesting stuff.
DSC03927.JPG
Next (past)days I spent the weekend fishing both at my place in Neftyanik and at the Kazakh's place in Alferovo. Volodya's age was much weaker in intensity, but amurensis and 4 good scoops arrived. During the day, we went to the direction of Beloomut, everywhere swarmed bandenniki, maturny, selena and efrosiny, got a broken krestovnikovaya dipper. The Kazakh collected beetles, especially liked the way some elongated small zlatki swarmed on a fallen aspen tree, mated and laid eggs. There were three types of steeds flying on the forest road - green campestris, hybrids, and large black ones-probably sylvatics. And a small elongated horse (probably Germanic in size) came to him in the soil trap, but red-brown in color with a purple tint.

DSC03921.JPGAt my dacha, in addition to three bicuspices and 4 reed drills, blind people flew at 3 am, but either because of the rain, or they have been flying for a long time, I took only one of the 4 who arrived, although I was killed, but not to the end smile.gif.

DSC03923.JPGSome digression. Rummaging through Vladimir in his spring training camps, I found orthozia miniosa, I think that no one caught it so far to the north and east.
Plus the Milhausens - he's already had three of them in the spring.

Yes, a revision of Noctuoidea based on the mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase gene will soon be published, where Lymantriinae and Arctiinae (s.l.) will become Erebidae subfamilies from Noctuidae.

The link looks like this:
Zahiri R, Kitching IJ, Lafontaine JD, Mutanen M, Kaila L, Holloway JD, Wahlberg N (in press). A new molecular phylogeny offers hope for a stable family-level classification of the Noctuoidea (Insecta: Lepidoptera). Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution.

While this will look like, you can take a look at the example of the North American checklist:

Nothing interesting at all at night (cold and clear sky)
But Sunday afternoon made me happy!
I decided to take a walk to a small, well-warmed birch tree on the edge of a vast field. As a result, there were three types of draughts Mellicta athalia, Melitaea diamina and Euphydryas aurinia, and the first and last for the first time. After a five-year break, I came across Pararge aegeria tircis.
Fresh Nymphalis urticae and Clossiana selene have flown, while Araschnia levana and Nymphalis io are still flying. Vanessa cardui arrived from the south.
Satyrium pruni and Polyommatus icarus fly in large numbers. One male Lycaena hippothoe was caught
The number of Ochlodes sylvanus was struck

Yesterday I developed one of my favorite places (M. O. Balashikha district, okr. der. Poltevo, proseka LEP) for the variability of Trichius fasciatus Linnaeus, 1758.
Result: 4 obvious aberrants (green plus signs) and 1 obscure one (yellow plus sign) jump.gif.
Lepturin is still not enough for some reason (apparently the weather).
Caught a ground beetle: Panagaeus (Panagaeus) bipustulatus Fabricius, 1775 in one copy.
In the mass: Goldfish: Anthaxia (Melanthaxia) quadripunctata Linnaeus, 1758. Plates: Phyllopertha horticola Linnaeus, 1758, Oxythyrea funesta Poda, 1761, Cetonia (s.str.) aurata Linnaeus, 1758,
already one Potosia metallica caught. In general, the usual set with the exception of this beetle (photo 2). Who is it?
For Aleksey2611, I came across a cute bee Eucera longicornis (male).
On butterflies: I was pleased with a couple of Heteropterus morpheus Pallas, 1771 (one is quite broken frown.gif). On the road dirt together with poplar ribbon (I didn't take it).
Please excuse the lack of pictures from nature (I forgot to charge the batteries) mol.gif.
